Here is what you are up to this month!
- You weigh 15 pounds 11 ounces
- You are 27 inches tall
At your six month appointment your doctor said you were absolutely perfect except for one thing. You're weight percentiles had dropped a little more than they like and you had gained less over two months than they want to see. Apparently strictly breastmilk wasn't giving you the calories you needed so we introduced formula and also increased your solids each day. You already seem so much happier to be getting the extra calories and it seems to be helping your sleeping as well! After a fussy few weeks, we are definitely glad to have our laid back and easygoing little guy back!
- You have really started noticing things around you this month. You love to grab for everything in your reach and are so fascinated watching what is going on (your brother playing and tv especially!).
- You are still not quite sitting up on your own. You can hold yourself up in a little tripod pose but still fall forward or backwards without the help of your arms. I'm fine with your slower way of doing things though because it makes me feel like you are my baby for a little longer! I'm not ready for you to be on the move!
- Speaking of on the move, you have really taken to rolling this month. You've been rolling over for a couple of months now but normally just did it when you had to. For the last few weeks though, rolling is your main form of transportation!
- You have been eating more solids and so far have tried sweet potatoes, squash, peas, bananas and apples. When you tried apples you made the funniest little pucker face I have ever seen. You seem to like most things we give you so I'm hoping this means you will be more of a vegetable eater than your brother!
- You are sleeping a lot better at night! You go to bed around 7:30 or 8 and normally wake up around 4 to eat. Last night though, you slept from 7:30 pm to 7 am! Mommy feels so refreshed today!
- You still are not a fan of naps. It's so funny to me how you go right down to sleep without any crying at night but completely fight it during the day! For now you are napping in your swing again because it is the best way to get you to actually nap!
Happy 6 months sweet Connor! I can't believe you are halfway to ONE!!
