Memorial Day Weekend!

Our Memorial day weekend consisted of swimming and more swimming! This year is so nice because it is the first time that Mason is happy just swimming around in a pool! He has always needed more to entertain him but now he is completely content for hours! Then there is Connor, who we have recently discovered is our little water baby! He will just sit in his float and smile and squeal! It makes it a lot easier to enjoy time at the pool compared with last summer having a newborn and a 2 year old who constantly needed to be entertained! On Sunday we went to my brother in law's to swim!

 Then yesterday we went to Mason's friend Presley's house to swim again!



 So Connor lately is OBSESSED with dogs and cats. Since we don't have pets it is so exciting to him when he sees them. He saw their dog and instantly started bear crawling around after her shouting, pointing and squealing!

Great Wolf Lodge!

This past weekend we took Mason to Great Wolf Lodge! We went with Mason's best buddy Carter and his family and had so much fun! We left Connor with his grandparents and he did great being away from us! We loved GWL and would definitely go back! It is great that it is so close to home! Mason had no fear and rode down big water slides over and over. That boy is such a little daredevil! Here are some photos I took of the inside area! They have a huge outdoor pool with slides too!

Kevin and Marideth's Wedding!

I'm a little behind on blogging but trying to catch up! Jared's younger brother Kevin (the firefighter who Mason adores!) got married on May 5th! I'm so excited for him and his new wife Marideth! Mason and his cousin Liev were the ring bearers and could not have been cuter. When they walked down the aisle, they got about three steps in and then both just stopped and starting giggling and standing there for a few minutes. It wasn't until the flower girls came along and pushed them on that they started moving again! Here are some pictures from their special day!!

Happy Birthday Mason!

My precious Mason, I cannot believe you are THREE today! I remember like it was yesterday the day you were born! We love you so much and enjoy watching you grow up and become a little boy!

 

 Here is what you are up to at 3 years old!!

 You have a HUGE imagination! You are constantly pretending you are a pirate, a cowboy, a dog, a frog, and knight...the list goes on and on. You also love to make your toys have little conversations...it is so cute to hear what you come up with! The other day I picked you up at school and your teacher told me you told her all about the big green monster that was in your back yard and how you protected Mommy from him by getting him with your sword! I really don't know where you come up with this stuff!

 You are so thoughtful! You seem to really understand other people's feelings, especially Connor's! You are so kind and sweet with him and always know how to make him happy!

 You have been fully potty trained since just after you turned 2 1/2!! That has been SO nice!

 You go to school two days a week and LOVE it. You talk all about your little friends there and sing us all the songs you learn too! You're teacher (Ms. Celine) told me the other day that she is not used to having full conversations with her two year olds like she does with you! That made this former teacher mommy happy!!

 And speaking of conversations...you love to have them with us too! Today we went to play at the mall and for the entire 30 minute ride home you talked to me about anything and everything. We have decided you are going to be an attorney one day because you talk so much and are so persuasive!

 Your biggest interest right now is Pirates, followed closely by cowboys, army men and knights. You
are definitely ALL boy!

 

 You say the funniest things lately. I need to be better about writing them down but here's a few cute ones!
 "Mommy someday you need to buy us a boat and we can pull it in front of our car and go fishing and eat food on it!"

 When not listening to your songs in the car "No that is a man song I want a little boy song!"

 When not wanting to eat something "I don't want to get too big and turn into Hulk!" umm not sure where on earth you heard that!

 At school for your birthday you had a sticker on your shirt that you kept moving to your back. You teacher told me that you kept moving it then saying "Seriously! where is my sticker!!??"

 We love you so much Mason and can't wait to watch you continue to learn and grow! Happy Birthday!!!
