Three Months!

Connor you are three months old today!! Sweet boy, where has the time gone? Can you please stop growing now??

(You tried to wave at the camera for your picture this month!)

Here is what you are up to at three months!

You weigh about 14 pounds.

You are wearing mostly three month clothing and size two diapers.

You are the absolute sweetest and happiest baby we could ever ask for. I can count on one hand the number of times you have been truly upset in your entire life! We always talk about what a blessing you have been to our lives!

You are smiling, cooing and squealing all the time!

You love your big brother. This month you have started smiling at him when he talks to you!

You are trying so hard to laugh! I know you will be there any day now!

You are a great sleeper! You go to sleep around 9 most nights and sleep until 5 or 6. This morning you slept until 7! You still are not a consistent napper but we are trying to work on that!

You started sleeping in your crib this month and have adjusted well!

You are eating around 4 ounces every 2 1/2 to 3 hours during the day. You are getting better at nursing and you are spitting up much less!

This month your favorite toy is your playmat! You love just laying and kicking your legs and watching the colorful lights!

You are getting much better at tummy time and have really started to lift your head when you lay on your stomach! You seem to be close to rolling over but you can take your time on that if you want to! Mommy is not quite ready for a mobile baby yet!

You still have lots of hair but it seems to be getting lighter. Your eyes are still a deep blue. I wonder if they will stay blue like your Daddy's or be hazel like mine and your brother's?

We love you so much sweet Connor! Please stay this sweet forever, never become a toddler and throw tantrums and especially don't start dating and get married one day. Okay? Thanks little man!

Father's Day and our little golfer

We had a great Father's Day weekend. Saturday night my parents had us over for yummy fried shrimp and Sunday we had a relaxing day at home then went swimming at Jared's brother's house. I wanted to make something special for Jared's gift this year and after looking at lots of different ideas ending up doing this:

Collages

Notice that the sign in the picture with both boys is a little hard to read....it's not easy get a picture of the two of them together, much less holding a sign up straight!

Friday night at my parent's house Mason had lots of fun playing golf in the backyard. They are determined to get him on the PGA tour one day! :0)

We got a pool!!

A kiddie pool that is.....
Since it's SO hot now and our water activities are a little limited this summer with Connor being so little, I decided to get Mason a kiddie pool for the backyard. We've only had it for a day but he already loves it. He keeps saying "theres a swimming pool in Mason's backyard!". I also pulled his little toddler slide up so he has a water slide into the pool. Here are some pics of our summer fun.

Our first family vacation

Last Saturday was our 6 year anniversary......

Five years ago, we spent our first anniversary here:

And this year we spent our anniversary here:

Oh my how times have changed!!

We didn't actually intend on spending our anniversary at Sea World but it just so happened that Jared had the Friday before it off and we had wanted to take a little weekend trip for a while, so we figured why not! After all , it's not like we could go many places without taking Connor with us.

We were a little anxious about how the trip would go but surprisingly it went pretty well! Of course traveling with two kids under 25 months old was a challenge but all things considered the boys did really well! Mason loved the trip, especially Sea World. We will definitely make it a yearly tradition to take the boys. I kept thinking how next year it will be so fun to see Connor running along playing next to Mason! Here are some pictures from our trip!

They have a great kids area where Mason got to climb this thing:

And he kept climbing all the way to the top! He is such a monkey! (That's him on the top left surrounded by 10 year old kids!)

Worn out from the day!

Saturday night we had dinner had Jared's Aunt and Uncle's house. Mason loved having a yard to run around in....he was going a little stir crazy at the hotel!

Cute things I don't want to forget

Mason is so funny lately. Where he comes up with the stuff that comes out of his mouth I don't know! He is also a little mimicker (is that a word???). He will copy everything we do. Sometimes I don't even think he is watching us then a couple days later he will do something we did. This age is so precious and I wanted to write down some of my favorite things he has done lately so I don't forget!

Yesterday at the pool he was eating an orange. It was time to leave and he noticed that he left a couple slices on the table. He goes "Uh oh Mason's orange!" He grabs it then follows me over the table where I am packing up our stuff. He starts singing "Clean up, Clean up, erybuddy eryair!"

Last night I was putting him to bed and we were getting ready to pray. I told him to bow his head and asked him what he should say and he tells me "say Amen Mommy!"

He is so funny with Connor. He loves to go up to him and talk in a high pitched baby voice while calling him "little boy", "little brother", or "Connor boy". He also tells me constantly now that Connor is a baby and Mason is a big boy.

Last night we were driving home from dinner and he was telling me he wanted to watch a show when we got home. I asked him if he would rather play outside instead and he goes "No, watch a show...Mason's back-ard is too windy!" I definitely agree little guy!

We watched some Memorial Day fireworks from our neighborhood last weekend and Mason kept saying "That man do that!" We finally ask him what man and he replied with "That fireman!"

On the topic of firemen....Mason is amazed by his Uncle Kevin (the fireman). Anytime he sees him he screams "Kaman!!!" Every time we hear a siren he goes "Uncle Kaman in it!!"

He is very into fixing things right now. The other day his toy train was broken and I told him it needed batteries. Later that day I find him with the cap from a pen in one hand and a battery in the other. He was using the pen cap as a screwdriver and proudly told me "I fix it Mommy!"

I love how much joy and laughter this little guy brings into our lives! It definitely makes the rough days worth it!
