Dallas Arboretum

We took a trip to the arboretum yesterday to see their amazing pumpkin patch! I had never been there in the fall and wow it is amazing!  The boys a great time and we got some cute photos too.  I'm so glad it's fall! (despite the crazy hot weather we had yesterday!)

First Soccer Game!

Mason's soccer team, the Bulldogs had their first game on Saturday! A cold front moved in the night before which made it feel like fall and was the perfect weather for the game! Mason loved it and had so much fun. We are still working on him being more aggressive with trying to get the ball....he said he thinks everyone should have their own ball!

A little photo shoot with Connor

Connor and I went down to the Mckinney square this morning after dropping Mason off at school. I was hoping to get a couple good pictures of him since I haven't in a while! He is SO busy lately that I can't get him to sit still for more than a second! I was out of breath after 10 minutes of our shoot but I did manage to get him still for a few good shots! I feel like he looks so old in these!

 

First Soccer Practice

Mason had his first soccer practice yesterday! I've looked forward to the day he can start playing sports for so long and I am glad the day is finally here! He is on a team with three of his little friends and his friend Ava's dad is his coach! The kids did great at practice yesterday, despite the 103 degree heat! Hopefully that will be the hottest practice we will have! I took about a thousand pictures but here are some of my favorites!

Back to School!

Mason's first day of preschool started today! He will go Tuesdays and Thursdays and he is so excited! (I am too!) Here is he is before leaving this morning!


I'm hoping to do this same picture with the chalkboard every year!

 His sweet friend Ava also goes to his school! I wish they were in the same class but she just turned four so she is in with the big kids!

 

 With his teacher Ms. Tonya. I can already tell I will love her. She has taught three year olds in this same class for 11 years now and seems so upbeat and loving!

 
Judging by his expression, I'm pretty sure Mason is thinking how embarrassed he is that I am always taking his picture.  :-/

 And of course I can't forget Connor! We had such a fun day with just the two of us!

 When I picked Mason up, he was super happy and ran to give Connor (and then me) a hug. His teacher said he did great! He was talking my leg off about his day and his two favorite things were the playground and the gym (of course!) We are looking forward to a great year!

Best buddies

When Mason was about 9 months old, we joined a playgroup with some other moms and kids his age. It was such a fun way to get out of the house and let Mason play with other babies his age! He especially bonded with three other boys in the playgroup and I'm now good friends their moms as well!

Well now fast forward 2 1/2 years and our 4 boys are still best little buddies! My friend Ashley, had a great idea to start a tradition of taking pictures of the boys every year before school starts! Hopefully it will be something that we do for years and years!

 We took them to the Mckinney square yesterday and bought them huge lollipops, hoping that would help them to sit still! Taking pictures of 4 three year olds isn't easy but we did get some cute ones! I'm so glad that Mason gets to grow up with these little guys!

Goodbye Summer!

It hit me today that Summer is almost over! Our neighborhood pool won't be open during the day starting next week, Mason has meet the teacher next week, swim lessons are over and stores are starting to fill up with fall things! I love summer but I'm definitely ready for fall!!  Here is how we are spending our last days of Summer!
