My photography blog!

I wanted to share my photography blog since it has consumed so much of my time these last few days! I decided to start a little business a couple of months ago, as a very part time thing to just make a little money. I love taking photos so it is much more of a passion than a job to me! I feel so completely blessed to have been so busy in a just a short time! I have loved meeting so many sweet children and families and capturing precious memories for them! Easter and my birthday!

We had a busy and fun past few days!

Last Thursday, Mason's preschool had a spring fling complete with bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals and a school wide Easter egg hunt! It was so much fun! Here is a picture of Mason with his sweet little classmates. I promise he was happy here despite his sad face! It's so sweet to hear him talk about his little friends from school!

My 30th (it still seems weird to type that) birthday was on Friday and we had so much fun! Jared took the day off and we went shopping and to lunch and then we had a KID FREE dinner with friends! We all decided that was something we needed to do more often!

On Easter we went to church and then to my brother in law's house and despite the rain, we still managed to have a good time. We had an (indoor) egg hunt for the kids which they loved!

This is the only picture I managed to get of the boys in their matching clothes. I was hoping to get a family picture but of course that didn't happen!

In Mason's Easter basket, he got a bubble maker so we set it up last night for the boys to play in. I don't think I have ever seen them so excited about something!

Playgroup Easter Egg Hunt!

On Monday we had our annual playgroup Easter egg hunt! It was so much fun watching the kids run to get the eggs and then open them excitedly. They understood what to do this year way more than last year!

The older Connor gets, the more him and Mason are playing together. Watching these two boys grow up together melts my heart! Here's a little video of Mason reading a book to Connor yesterday!

Picnic, Boat ride and 12 Month Checkup!

This is a post of totally random stuff!

Last weekend instead of going out to eat we decided it would be fun to do a picnic at the park instead! I think we are going to make this a regular tradition! It is sooo much easier to eat outdoors with a one and two year old than inside a quiet restaurant! Speaking of that....it is soooo strange to me that I now have a one AND a two year old. Hmmm and I wonder why things are always so hectic??

The next day we went on my brother in laws boat! It was Connor's first time and he loved it!

And finally, today Connor had his 12 month checkup. I already did his one year post but wanted to record his stats so that I will have them for his non-exsistant (but hopefully coming soon) baby book!

Weight- 20 pounds (11%) His percentile went up three percents this time! He is still a tiny little guy but his Dr is convinced that is just his body type!

Height - 30 3/4 inches (78%)

Head- 47 cm (68%)

He did great at the doctor but was not so happy with his shots! Poor little guy!

Bluebonnets!

I took the boys yesterday for attempt #2 at some pictures in the bluebonnets. The first attempt did not go well at all....field overcrowded with people, bees swarming, crying baby and fussy toddler, refusing to smile....not a fun experience! But I was determined to get some good pictures so I found a field that was totally empty and where I could make a fool out of myself to get the boys attention! It worked and we got much better pictures the second time around!

Connor's Party!

We had so much fun celebrating Connor's first birthday at his party! Since the weather in March can be so unpredictable, I did not get my hopes up for a nice day. We lucked out though and had the most perfect weather imaginable!

I decided to do a farm theme for his party! I did a lot of cow print stuff along with some red gingham.

I think I want sunflowers in my house at all times now!

I found these little cow and pig suckers at Oriental Trading. So cute!!

My sweet friend Amanda made Connor's cake! I took some pictures of her girls a few months back when I was doing some practice sessions. She "reimbursed" me with the most adorable cake!

We tried to keep the party fairly small and just did family and close friends. It was the perfect size and not too overwhelming for Connor!
